Dr. Livia Derdova O.D
Dr. Livia Derdova is a board certified optometric physician who earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology Degree from Montclair State University. She graduated from Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois, with a Master’s Degree in Public Health. Dr. Derdova completed her externship in primary care optometry and ocular disease. She graduated with her Doctor of Optometry degree from MCPHS University in Worcester, Massachusetts.
Dr. Livia has worked in the field of optometry and ophthalmology for over a decade. She has worked for several ophthalmology and optometry practices in Northern New Jersey where she fell in love with her profession. Dr. Derdova is very passionate about educating her patients about eye health. In addition, she was chosen to present her ocular disease research at the annual American Optometric Association meeting. Dr. Derdova takes extreme pleasure in diagnosing and treating her patients’ visual problems. She has a passion for ocular disease and practices full scope primary eye care. This includes annual wellness and comprehensive eye exams consisting of contact lens exams and the management of ocular conditions like glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, post-operative cataract care and ocular emergencies. She takes special interest in dry eye issues and ocular allergy treatments.
Dr. Derdova is fluent in Hungarian, Slovak, Polish, Czech and English. She is currently accepting new patients and cannot wait to put her passion for helping others into practice.
She currently lives in Shrewsbury with her boyfriend and enjoys all aspects of living near the Jersey Shore. In her free time she enjoys spending time at the beach, golfing, orange theory, hiking, good movies, great local food (suggestions welcome) and spending time with family.
Dr. Stephen M. Zigman
Dr. Stephen M. Zigman earned his bachelors degree at Boston University, and officially became a doctor of optometry at the New England College of Optometry. He opened his first practice in 1975 in New York, then later opened his second practice in 1977 in Middletown New Jersey.
Dr. Ross S. Schwartz
Dr. Ross S. Schwartz earned his bachelors degree at Boston University and became Doctor of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry. He started in a private practice with Stephen M. Zigman beginning in 1976 which included therapeutic treatment of eye disease, contacts, and specializing in disorders of vision and vision training.
